Biennale 109 in Paris, 2025

This year, at the Biennale 109 in Paris, Svetlana Arefiev presented the scroll “Mathilde in Wonderland”, featuring a full 10 meters of colored pencil drawings!

Mathilde is a real character: an antique doll with missing arms, who found refuge in the artist’s studio. Her journey through Wonderland is a new, never-ending story.
